Or a bigger cap that twists on

A stem sits behind the cover instead of a knob. Caps twist onto it and lock, so you can change them from the front.

How it works

  1. The cover clips over your switch frame. No screws, no wiring. The switch stays exactly where it is.
  2. The knob sits behind the cover.A thin plate rests on the rocker and the stem comes out through the slot.
  3. Push the knob up or down. The plate tips the rocker, and the light goes on or off as before.

Developed and tested on a Schneider Asfora switch (83 × 83 mm). Other switches: check the fit.

Up close

Engraved inside every cover: Polymorph Lab, made by hand.

The signature line. A 1.1 mm band of the second colour, printed into the side and lined up with the layers so its edges stay clean.

The ring. Frames the slot in the second colour, flush with the face.
Up and down. The knob moves the way the switch always did.

Made to your switch

1

Measure the frame

Width and height of the plate round your switch, in millimetres.

2

Measure the button

Width and height of the part you press. For a double switch, both buttons together.

3

Measure the depth

From the wall to the front of the button, so the cover sits flat and the knob reaches the rocker.

4

Send a straight-on photo

We check it against your numbers and message you before printing if something looks off.

Not sure which switch you have? The model is often printed on the back of the switch. If you can't find it, the photo is enough.

Questions

Do I need tools?

No. The cover clips over the frame of the switch you already have. Nothing is unscrewed or rewired.

Will it fit my switch?

Each cover is printed to the frame, button and depth measurements you give us. We developed it on a Schneider Asfora; for other switches we check your numbers and photo before printing.

What if it doesn't fit?

[TBD: fit guarantee and returns policy]

Will it fall off?

Small ribs inside the cover grip the edge of the frame. [confirm: how firmly it holds, from fit tests]

Can I change the knob later?

Yes, every knob fits every cover. For a one-piece knob, take the cover off, drop in the new knob and clip the cover back. Twist-on caps change from the front.

Does it work with dimmers or switches with a light?

It's made for rocker switches: the knob tips the rocker. Rotary dimmers won't work. [TBD: switches with an indicator light]

Will guests and kids know how to use it?

Yes. Push the knob up or down, the same way the switch moved before.

How do I clean it?

[confirm: cleaning advice, e.g. a damp cloth]

What is it made of?

3D-printed plastic filament [confirm: PLA]. The cover sits over the switch and never touches the wiring.

How long does it take?

[TBD: lead time and delivery cost]
